Motor Vehicle Crashes into a CCSO Cruiser

      The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office with the Casco/Naples Fire and EMS responded to a Head on Police Cruiser Crash on Route #302 in the area otherwise known as Watkins Flats. 

 

     The Sheriff’s Patrol Cruiser, a 2016 Chevy Tahoe being operated by Deputy Patrick Ferriter was traveling West on Route #302 and was NOT in response to a call at the time of the crash.

 

     A Black 2007 Ford Taurus operated by Patricia DeWolfe of Florida was traveling East Bound on Route #302.  Witness statements and evidence at scene confirmed that DeWolfe crossed the center line and struck the Sheriff’s Patrol Vehicle Head On/Side Swipe. 

 

     Niether Mrs. DeWolfe nor Deputy Ferriter sustained any significant injuries though both vehicles are totaled.   Both drivers were evaluated at local medical facilities.

 

The crash is currently under investigation by the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office Reconstruction Team.
